[open] The Roadhouse's doors are always open...
Who: Jo Harvelle & you!
What: Some conversations are best had over a beer.
When: various times after dream event.
Where: The Roadhouse
Rating: PG-13?
[ The Roadhouse is most always open - it gives people somewhere to go, and Jo something to do. Some people come to find Jo, other's just come to find peace. Either way, it's good alcohol and an informal atmosphere to forget your troubles for a while...
Just watch out for Ash on the pool table. ]
ooc: had a few plans for Jo and some of her CR, figured I'd throw up an open log for anyone looking for a reason to head to a bar and chat it up with the local, non-native bartender! Feel free to leave OTA tags, or have your characters interact with their own CR with the Roadhouse used as a meeting place of sorts. Totally up to you.

She handles herself better here than she does in Camelot, so much is certain. It still does not mean she is peaceful. Quite the contrary, and lately, less than ever.
She is not one for alcohol, either, but she goes to the Roadhouse anyway. Searching for a place where she could simply -- be, sort her thoughts, find a string of logic in the mess that is her life.
She is an unlikely visitor, all silken gown in purple of blue, a cape on her head, though she takes it off, takes a seat.
Inhale and exhale.
She tries to think. ]

So she mutters something like 'be right with you' with the door closes, and she finishes up her chore as quickly as she can. But when she looks up and sees who it is that walked in, she can't help but freeze up a bit.
Morgana.
Jo's been doing her best to stay out of the drama happening in Camelot - even if the more recent of it sent Merlin off to god knows where and it's worried her - she doesn't know too much about anything. Only that Morgana hasn't been living with them for some time. She doesn't know the story in detail, and doesn't really care to, so rather than standing there like an idiot, Jo just heads on over as casually as I can. ]
Looking for something in particular? [ She's talking about drinks, of course. She wasn't sure if Morgana was as ignorant as Gwaine and Merlin had been about alcohol. ]
no subject
You will have to forgive me, I know so very little of that which you serve here to answer that.
[ there is a shade of a grin on her lips ]
You will have to choose for me.

[ She hesitates for a moment, before turning back to the bar to pick out a few different drinks. She places them, as well as the necessary mixers down on the bar ]
There are easier, more enjoyable ways to get drunk, and then there's the other kind. [ The kind where they prefer the burn, the distraction it brings as well as the faster, harder, drunk. ]
no subject
[ This was never about having an enjoyable evening, it was about clearing her head. ]
no subject
I'd recommend taking it slow. Leaves something of a burn.
[ But that's all she says for that, moving to set the bottles back in the cabinets behind her. ]

He takes a seat at the bar and drums his fingers while he waits for her. He figures she'll come with beers in tow if she knows what's good for her.]
no subject
She's already talked to Sam - about how he wants to handle bringing Dean up to speed on everything - but she figures this has got to be a little overwhelming for him. Especially after her whole dream fiasco, right after getting to Asgard in the first place, and maybe she wants to help him hate everything just a little less. ]
Hey. [ Jo sets the bottles down on the counter, opening them up and handing one to him. ] How's it going?
no subject
[He sounds pretty bitter but he swipes the beer off the counter and takes a pull from the mouth of it.]
At least this place has food and booze. Could be worse. That whole dream surfing shit was a helluva way to show up in the pagan pantheon.
no subject
[ She just watches him for a minute before grabbing her own. ]
You talk to Sam?
no subject
[It's sarcasm and the way he rolls his eyes and he takes another swig makes that obvious.]
Yeah, he's actin' like he's off his meds.

It leads him over to the shooting game, which is something he hasn't seen before, and that almost immediately gets his undivided attention. He starts nosing around it, trying to see how it works, which involves a lot of peering on his end, with a attempt to try and move one of the guns from side to side and some experimental poking at the coin slot. And he's not being too subtle about it, either, too fascinated with the machine to really care much if other people see him or not.]
no subject
She recognizes him, from her dream, but that hadn't said much afterwards so she hadn't even gotten his name. Just left a great first impression with her worst nightmare. Not a big deal at all.
Jo heads on over to the game, leaning against it with her eyebrows raised and trying not to laugh. Which is hard, given the way he's poking around the old arcade game like it was some kind of futuristic technology. ]
Can I help you with something?
no subject
Oh. Ah...hello.
[It's not quite as successful as he would have liked, perhaps, but it'll have to do. And even though there is a spark of surprise as he recognizes her as well, he doesn't look particularly uneasy or uncomfortable at seeing her again.]
Er, well, I was just looking at this machine here. Some sort of game, is it?
no subject
An arcade game, yeah. [ She points to the gun, first. ] You use that to shoot things there. [ And then she's pointing to the screen behind it. ] For points.
no subject
Oh, I see! So the better ye do the more points ye get. How do ye tell who's done the best with it, then?
no subject
[ She reaches over to press a button on the other side of the machine, the Top Score list coming up, all ten spots taken up by one person, a 'JO'.
And maybe Jo's looking a little smug about it. ]

la la la la late
So after occupying himself with just about everything he could think of doing, he decides to head to the roadhouse - for a drink, and a woman's counsel.
Quietly, he takes a seat at the bar.]

So when she sees Lancelot, it doesn't come much as a surprise. More so, she wonders what's taken him so long. Why she hasn't seen more of the knights of Camelot. She can only imagine how horrible their nightmares had been.
It's only a moment or two, before Jo's standing in front of him across the bar, drink already in hand. Lancelot had come by the bar enough for Jo to figure out what it is he likes to drink, and she figured she could start off with something simple enough until she figured out what was bothering him - and then change the drink accordingly from there. ]
Hey.
no subject
How he shamefully doesn't want to.
Every single person he loves from home, hurts him in ways he cannot begin to understand. But the friends he made here, they give him strength to keep moving forward with that hurt.
He isn't surprised to see that Jo needs no order from him. He smiles at her feebly, gratefully, as he accepts the drink.]
Hey - thank you.
no subject
[ It's supposed to be a joke, because she can see something's bothering him. Can tell that there's a lot more going on under the surface. She wants to help, but she also wonders if helping means getting him to talk about it, or just being here for him. ]
You look like crap.
[ Well, that's one way to start. ]
no subject
[He isn't certain of that either - of what would help him. But Jo is someone he feels he can trust either way, and the alcohol certainly wouldn't hurt.]
Under the circumstances, I will take that as a compliment.
[He offers another half smile, one devoid of humor.]
no subject
[ Seeing as she has not approved of most of the taverns and bars she's seen around Asgard. Granted, she might have a higher standard for that kind of thing, growing up in one, but still.
She frowns a little, though, at his smile. ]
