Who: Dean Winchester and Jo Harvelle
What: Dean's been hurt and once again Jo has to force help on him.
When: Night 330
Where: The Roadhouse
Rating: PG-13 for wounds and blood and possibly language.
[ jo has been doing her best to keep to herself for most of...whatever this has been. for a while there she tried to keep tabs. but as the days have dragged on and things have gotten worse, jo's ability to keep up with herself and everyone else has dropped. it's been mostly about her, ash, and the roadhouse - dean when he's come by, but she hasn't seen him around, which honestly worries her a bit but not enough to go looking around the city. not yet.
she closed the roadhouse up early on, too, but it didn't stop her from heading there whenever she felt restless. cleaning the bar or organizing the drinks calmed her down, in a way. so when she's restless and freaking out and trying to sleep one night, she decides it's worthless and heads out. when she gets there she expects to find a few things, sure. maybe some things out of place, ash in some random corner of the room, but the trail of blood? not exactly. so she follows it. grabs a gun from the bar, loads it, and continues to follow it down the hall and into the nearest closet. and when she pulls the door open and draws her weapon, what she sees... ]

Dean?

[ she's not really sure why she feels the need to try and convince dean to trust him, not when she knows it'll take a little more than just her word to get to that point, but she tries anyway. ]
Dunno if you've talked to him much, but he saved my ass when I got here. He knows what he's doing.

[He's happy to hear somebody helped her when she first showed up though. That makes him smile for about half a second before it makes him wince and that grin disappears.]
I'm not sure I should trust your judgment. Since I think you'd consider this [Gesturing to the stitches.] saving my ass when we both know it's more like a botch job.
[Now he's just poking fun, trying to get a little bit more of what their relationship used to be back.]

[ and yeah, okay, so maybe it's not as dire a situation as she's making it out to be. but that's when she just crosses her arms over her chest. ]
Oh stop whining. Botch job or no, definitely saved your ass.
[ she grins a little, then, because this she can do. ]

[He can hear a little bit of Sam in that comment and it makes him smile, because this is what their relationship should be and it's getting back to basics that brings him a little more comfort. Especially with Jo.]
Yeah, I'd hate to see your definition of that on a bad day.

[ but she's definitely smiling, and this is definitely comfortable, and maybe she should be a little more worried that it took him nearly getting ripped apart for that to work. but at the same time, she doesn't want to poke at it too hard. ]
Fine. But don't come crying to me next time.

[Getting ripped apart was an ordinary day for Dean back home. It brought him back to reality more than half the shit that happened here did. In a way that lasted because it was real, physical, and something he could count on to be there tomorrow.]
You stick to serving up brews and I'll keep the fishing line out of reach.
