[Utgard Expedition | THE MINGLE LOG]
Who: Anyone taking part in the Utgard Expedition!
What:Travelling to and Shopping for Supplies in Utgard (using godly credit!!) and then travelling back.
When: Day 184-5
Where: From Asgard to Utgard to Asgard and everything in between.
Rating: Extreme Shopping.
[The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
The journey to Utgard starts with a very early start the morning of Day 184, a roll-call at the Gate of Fog involving a seven-year-old with a clipboard and also involves a knight with a shiny crown organizing people into carts. Fun times.
When Utgard is finally arrived at there is much to enjoy -- the big city lights, the big city sounds. There are cars, subways, an internet -- even people who aren't grey! There is no end to the excitement, although there is lots to be done by way of shopping.
Day 185 gets off to a more leisurely start, the Travellers having accomplished most of their shopping the previous day. The citizens volunteer to load purchases into the carts while the Travellers look around a little before heading back to Asgard.
With so much to see and do in the City, why not look around, take in the sights, even -- mingle a little?]
((ooc: Totally open mingle log for characters taking part in the Utgard expedition! Run wild, run free -- but keep in mind the godly credit only extends to supplies for the city. No getting your hair did with Odin's dough.))

Allen Walker | open to anything
A) On the trip there. He'd shown up uniformed (his own) to volunteer as a guard, though he doesn't seem to have any sort of visible weapon with him. He does have an alert, serious sort of manner about him, if lighthearted.
B) Goggling just a little at the sights of the city and getting acquainted. This is all well over a century ahead of him (sort of maybe). Be forewarned, he's probably going to become absolutely smitten with the first street food vendors he happens across.
or C) If you at all need help with anything (and are a decent sort of person) or a general sort of pack mule, he's probably either volunteered or been rather easily topped into helping out. Poor child.
At any point he's accompanied by a gold flying creature he refers to (and seem to chide and talk with from time to time) as Timcanpy, who stays rather close to him. As well as the fact that he seems to generally be shadowed by this dour gentleman.
But he's getting better at cheerfully ditching him.]C!
Ah, I think that's the last for now.

But he's keeping up a cheery front. He is happy to help out, after all. Just don't mind if you can't see his face very well behind the various and sundry packages he's balancing. (But he can balance a lot of them rather uncannily well for someone on the slight side.) ]
Ah? Is it? [ Praise be. ]

[Momentarily distracted by your l33t balancing skills.]
Ne, does Allan-san want to take a break or head back right away?

B
Er, Allen-san, is everything alright?
Re: B
But mostly because it seems he's found -- he's finally found -- a dango cart. And he pauses a little when he hears his name called. ] Miss Ikezawa --
Mm! [ He's going to smile and wave her over now. Quite brightly. Does he have three sticks of mitarashi dango (or something close enough) in hand? Yes, yes he does. Which his golem seems to be buzzing over. ]

You look very excited... it's because this is a modern city, isn't it?

evening 184 | open
They make him want to go out and play.

Legitimate question, Conan. Castle could get very used to this. It was similar to home, though nothing could compare with NYC.
no subject
It's a very tempting thought, but Conan knows that without his physical presence at the Hospital, their citizen colleagues at the Forensic Unit will stay grey. Still --
"It's a much bigger city than I realised! Ne, has Castle-san explored much?"

day 184 | open
Currently he's walking around with a shopping cart, determining the prices of different things and trying to get the most for the money he's been allotted. You'll see him moving his hands in front of him and speaking softly to himself, calculating prices quickly in his brain. He looks odd, but he also doesn't need a calculator. Spencer is a calculator.
Kaworu Nagisa (Tabris)
A) On the way to Utgard, (POSSIBLY STRAYING AWAY FROM THE REST OF THE GROUP) watching his surroundings, as if he is trying to learn them by heart. Analyze them. Study them.
B) Over the city, strolling through the streets, watching the people and the shops. He stops in front of a music store, eying a violin.
C) Getting lost on the subway - aka, entering it and just driving off to the next random stop. Kaworu actually has a good sense of direction, so he won' be lost per say. ]
Both days, OTA
When she gets over the initial shock, Hanako can be seen doing these things:
A) Contributing to the shopping spree, passing through building after building to buy whatever is necessary for the city. The few things that interest her and she decides to buy for herself - merely clothes and few objects that are enough to carry in a bag - she'll purchase with her own money. From time to time, she has to stop and look at the list of things she wrote down for easier memory. Company is not necessary, but appreciated.
B) Taking a casual stroll through the park, and generally sightseeing everything that catches her interest. It feels like home, somehow... and surely it puts her spirits up after what they've all passed through. You could even have the luck of seeing her actually smile if you happen to see her around. ]
Gimme a B?
Ikezawa-san, this is so nice! [She looks up at the sky and smiles happily.] So different of what we've seen, and it reminds me of home.

Day 184 // OTA
She stops in front of a store window, peering at the wares on display there.]
Whoa! [She exclaims, mostly to herself.] They weren't kidding about having laptops here!
no subject
[Who is that joining you in some window shopping? Just your tiny-boss.]
no subject
No point buying it here if it's not going to work back in Asgard, right, Bossu?

[ Hanako will timidly comment, standing there just by chance. ]

Just like it. There's even people driving here. I didn't think I'd miss the sound of cars so much.

They look so nice, don't they? Almost like at home.

I wish I could take one of these back with me, but they won't even work in the city. Bummer, huh?

Roxy | Open | Oops late
She's joked about ditching Asgard to move here instead but it wasn't so much of a joke anymore- there were normal buildings and cars and the internet... Oh my god she had a hell of a lot of site seeing and shopping to cram into this short amount of time.]
