Who: Pyro and Euri
What: A burger date that was never meant to happen.
When: Day 261
Where: Baldr district, Mushroom House and then a greasy spoon diner.
Rating: PG-13, but could change with these two. I'll edit if it does.
[We're not even mentioning what Euri promised Pyro to get him to this stage.
He's in slacks and a button-down shirt, his hair neatly combed, and he's waiting at the door of the Mushroom House with - no, okay, he didn't buy flowers or anything. He's not that whipped. But he's still going on a date, a damn date, when he's resisted all the trappings of romance at every turn. Especially with Euri, who's clearly more relationship-oriented than Oswin.
But here he is, because he is a slave to baser urges. He's got a Bic lighter in one hand, which he keeps flicking on and off irritably - it's quieter than the clank of his zippo, which is currently in the disappeared Bobby's room, but that only makes him moodier. He likes the clank, and feels a bit edgy with such a piece of shit lighter in the zippo's place (they always melted under the force of his flame, every single time, until he finally stumbled across his trademark source of fire).
Finally, he knocks. God, she'd better appreciate this.]

[No 'be thankful' or anything else, just that. His options were precisely zero when he was homeless, other than the safehouses and squats that mutants would set up for as long as they could keep them hidden.]
So you were a backpacker before you came here. Wouldn't have expected that.

'Backpacker'? What do you mean?

Just what travellers like that are called where I'm from. Wanderers, that kinda thing. The backpack's what you wear to carry your stuff in.

[Well, she likes plants, and everything about her world sounds pretty earthy.]

H - hey, there's nothing wrong with mushrooms and plants! You can make all kinds of things out of them!

I don't know, you two haven't been near each other lately. Maybe if you bring him a some meat he'll like you.

What kind? Like ground beef?

[Now he's cooling on the idea.]
I bet it's expensive, huh.

Almost done? We still have to hit Bobby's place while everyone's more likely to be out.

[But she'll finish up, and dig around in her purse for some money.]

It's a date.
