[ Lydia had been here once before, for about two days, but that was a long time ago. Many people from Beacon Hills had come and gone since then, but Lydia was one that hadn't reappeared, with or without memories. It was always Stiles, Derek, Derek's pack. Even Allison's dad hadn't shown back up again, so she'd stopped expecting and almost stopped hoping for people she actually liked to show up. When she'd heard Lydia's voice, however, Allison realized that she'd just been fooling herself.
Having Scott here was amazing, especially since it meant she could be with him without having to worry about any member of her family going homicidal (again) on him because of it, but it wasn't the same. She missed her best friend more than she ever thought possible, so knowing that she was here now...
Needless to say, Allison hurries over to Odin district, glad it's one of the more familiar areas for her. She's been here a while but that doesn't mean she's memorized every inch of land, unfortunately. She makes her way to the house there, eyes searching the area for the familiar strawberry blonde head of hair. ]

She'd agreed to wait for her friend downstairs, and managed to do so without using the slide. Lydia was still walking down the stairs when she spotted Allison. It wasn't hard to find her friend, she could spot her anywhere, but actually seeing her other than just hearing her? It was nice to know she was really here to help. And it was always good to see her ]
Allison!
[ Lydia called to her, hurrying her walk down the steps to reach her a little quicker. This beat spending the evening alone and confused ]

They may not always be the hugging sort but the moment Allison got close enough, she wrapped her arms around Lydia and held onto her tightly for a moment. ] You have no idea how good it is to see you.

[ Lydia's half kidding - it might have been a day for her but she knows that Allison has been here a little bit, just not how long that little bit has been. And despite the usual lack of hugs she may relish this a little bit - in relief that Allison is alright despite this and that she is actually real, and here. No, either of them being here is good but she would rather have someone here that she 100% likes than be stuck alone. Selfishly, of course ]
It's nice to know I've been missed. [ She loves you too, and would miss her best friend as well ] Shall I get the 'how have you been' out the way or lead in to it? [ It's a good job it's still early? Bring on the stories ]

She smiles at the question, though there's a hint of hesitation to it. Considering everything she's learned about her future from Stiles, Allison's not exactly wanting to go into major details about her time here, though it would be nice to talk to Lydia about it. ] Honestly? Good, for the most part. Being trapped here isn't exactly ideal, especially with the games the gods play, but I've made from friends and I don't have to worry about hiding my relationship with Scott, so...

So it's kind of a win. [ That last part, anyway ] And it might not be ideal but it was free. [ Lydia was still wanting to treat this like a holiday, at least until anything crazy came along ] There's got to be something enjoyable to do here.

I'm sure you'll find something to keep yourself busy. It's not exactly like home, but it's similar enough in that respect.

I could find something easily. [ Shopping, shopping, nice lunch, shopping ] But the real question is what is good? Or, what keeps Allison not pulling her hair out? [ Minus Scott, she's been introduced to that one ]

[ The question gets a soft laugh. ] I've been doing a lot of training at the Citadel, and then waitressing part time at Jo's Roadhouse. Other than that, it's the people here. Most of them are really nice.
no subject
What sort of training? [ New hobbies or back to gymnastics and archery? She needs all the gossip ] Well, at least if we have to be stuck it's better to have good people. [ And then Derek and his little posse. Awesome ]
I hope you've still got room in that schedule for a best friend? [ Not that it's entirely a question, but they have to have best friend time. Shopping, coffee, maybe a movie if there are movies. Or spa days. They've got more freedom and Lydia has a place to explore ]

Archery mostly. That's what I do at the Citadel for a job; I teach people how to do it. [ She smiles and nods. ] Exactly.
Of course! I'll always have time for you, Lydia. [ Just... ignore the fact that she lied to you about all of the kanima stuff, please and thanks. ]

And good. [ Lydia smiled. She hadn't doubted that Allison wouldn't be able to spend a little bit of time with her, or would want to, but it was nice to slightly tease her about it ] I might have to come watch. Until I can figure out what to do, anyway.

She smiles at the idea and nods. ] You can definitely do that. You could even start learning how to use a bow yourself, if you want.
