DATE AUCTION [OPEN]

Who: Everyone ♥
What: It's the date auction! Get your bids ready, folks!
When: Day 338
Where: At the festival
Rating: PG


Near the center of the courtyard, a medium-sized stage has been set up, complete with banners proclaiming the event. ("Find your perfect date and help Asgard rebuild!") The auction is due to start any time now, and quite a crowd has already gathered around the area.

Why not stop by and see which unfortunate victims travelers have been picked to be auctioned off? Maybe you can put in a bid yourself!


(ooc: As a note, everyone participating would have gotten a message from Rise the day before to inform them they've been signed up! That part is handwaved, as there are so many participants!)

This boy was shaping out to be even more interesting than the man on stage she had previously bid on. Her interests transforms into a slight smile. People here were very interesting. Even if they claimed that they weren't.

"Because I'm trying to get him to lighten up and he's not. I'm from a bit, uh, further ahead in our little group's timeline and Derek's not quite so... that." He pointed at the permanent scowl etched on his face. "Well, he's still bitchy, but he's muted it a bit. Gotten used to us. That hasn't really happened here and I guess I just sort of miss him not wanting to kill me."

"Maybe, this will give you time to explain these things to him."

She wants to help, in her own way, but she's also not going to bother bidding again on someone that has no interest in talking to or socializing with anyone.

She pauses, looking back to the clock before taking more money out of the pocket of her pants and holding it up.

"Twenty? For the grumpy one. Derek."

Leeloo, you have never seen anyone look as relieved as Stiles did. "Oh, god. Oh thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You are the best. You're an angel. I owe you a pie. What kind of pie do you like best?"

What was his affinity for pie? She didn't understand that either. She puts a hand out and pats his shoulder.

"That will be enough of a favor in return."

See that? That's the brightest smile ever. "Have you ever been to the Highwind? I work there and it's sort of where I get my free pies. You should definitely stop in sometime when you get a pie-urge."

He liked pie, okay? His mom made good ones before she got sick and they subconsciously made him think of her.

She pulls away to go wander through the rest of the crowd. She enjoyed her conversation with this young man but now she wanted to see what else this place had to offer and who else was being bid on.
