[OPEN] EVENT LOG: BAD MOON RISING - WEEK TWO
Who: EVERYONE!
What: Bad Moon Rising: Week Two
When: Days 323-326 ( September 8-15 )
Where: All across the city.
Rating: PG-13. Anything that might go higher than that should be taken to a private log, please!
[ You've been on edge. Inexplicably, so far as you can tell in the moments after those short bouts of quick, sharp anger you've experienced in the past few days - but maybe it's simply stress from the recent attacks on the city. Perhaps some rest will help, or a nice day at Folkvang to decompress and gather yourself.
Whatever you try, though, the odd feeling of being off stubbornly lingers on. Anger is joined by discomfort, the shadows in the corners of the room just a little bit darker than usual and did you see something dart down that alley way? The hallucinations creep into every day activities, paranoia and snappishness leading to insomnia and sleep deprivation. Try as you may to ignore it, the symptoms only seem to escalate over time. Maybe it's stress. Maybe it's something else entirely.
But it's stubbornly lingering on. Perhaps some rest will help ... ]
[ OOC NOTES: This is the mingle log for Week 2 of the Bad Moon Rising event! Characters will start experiencing auditory and visual hallucinations alongside vivid violent thoughts at strange, innocuous moments. Some characters may start sleep walking and heading towards the Gate of Fog; none will make it, however, so lock your doors and keep an eye on your friends. Please put [OPEN/CLOSED] along with the time/location in your comment titles. Let us know if you have any questions or concerns! ]

I didn't even notice! NBD. <3
Black-holes? Life on other planets? And what the hell was a Tardis?]
'Scuse me?
[He's hoping this is all some elaborate prank because the last thing he needs right now is to swallow that kind of information. First hearing about aliens from Nat and now Rose? He didn't like coincidences. He didn't really believe in 'em.]
<3
... I never told you about the TARDIS the last time I came 'round here, did I.
[ Well. Damnit. ] That's what I did, back home. In my own universe- I doubt it's th'same as yours. The TARDIS is .. She's the Doctor's ship. Space ship, time machine. The soul of the TARDIS is in a human body, here in Asgard, too. You must'a seen her around on the Network before...
Anyway, that's what the Doctor does. He travels around time an' space, savin' people, planets, the universe. I help, o'course.

[Dean scrubs a hand on his face trying to reason with himself. Twice in one month's a little much when it comes to learning about space travel. Time travel wasn't impossible back home so that's not what bothered him.]
You're serious.
[He sighs, grits his teeth, and has another mouthful of whiskey.]
Look, do me a favor. Whatever you and ET have goin' on. You can keep it to yourself. This multiple-reality thing's a pain in the ass.
no subject
[ Because she can ignore everything else he'd said, but hey. Multiple realities, or universe, weren't ... cool. Like at all. But come on Dean, everyone here is basically from a different universe. It's weird, get over it. You deal with monsters and met angels, you got over it. You met other weird shit that wasn't in the roster, you got over it.
Deal, bro. ]
An' he's a Time Lord. Not E.T.

[Dean rolls his shoulders back and sighs. Stares at the ceiling and asks himself why he's about to do what he's about to do.]
Okay. Tell me the story about you and Mork.

Well, alright then. ]
... Um. We got stuck, I s'pose. No TARDIS, no way out, and we couldn't move the drills to go find the TARDIS, either. It was a bit weird. Things started happenin'- I got a weird voice on my telephone, Toby- one of the crewmates, was actin' all weird, one girl died... Scooty was so nice, too.
So the Doctor decides he's gonna go down with the crew an' find out what they've been drilling towards. Makes me stay up top, o'course. But we found ... somethin'.
[ And here, Rose shifts uncomfortably, pauses to take a deeper gulp of her drink. ]
Some sort of entity or creature. I don't know if we ever really found out what it was. But he called himself th'devil. The god of evil. Satan, whatever. But he- He knew things. Said I was gonna die in battle. At the time, I guess-- But I didn't die, obviously. I mean I s'pose I did... My name was on the list of the dead.
Anyway- Sorry. Whatever it was, it was trapped down in the middle of the planet. So when we got to it, somethin' broke it free, and that kind of caused the whole thing to fracture. The planet started falling into the black hole. I was out cold for most of the end bits- bloody nutters drugged me cause I wanted t'stay behind. Woke up next to Toby, who was all possessed by whatever that thing was, breathin' fire an' everything.
I shot the bastard into space, an' he got sucked into the black hole.
[ Sniff. She looks rather proud of herself, now. And uh, yeah. Finishing her drink now, cause she is parched. So much talking. ]

That sounds like a bad syfy movie, but Toby really got the raw end of the deal.
no subject
[ Which she finds more amusing than concerning, considering his, uh. Concern. ]
I dunno how much of Toby was really left in the end. I thought he was fightin' it, but ... I think whatever was inside him was just faking it. It just didn't seem right, looking back at it.

Guess I'm not the only one with a life like a bad movie.
[He shrugs, and has another drink before looking over his shoulder at her.]
Glad you made it outta that alive.
