[OPEN] EVENT LOG: BAD MOON RISING - WEEK TWO
Who: EVERYONE!
What: Bad Moon Rising: Week Two
When: Days 323-326 ( September 8-15 )
Where: All across the city.
Rating: PG-13. Anything that might go higher than that should be taken to a private log, please!
[ You've been on edge. Inexplicably, so far as you can tell in the moments after those short bouts of quick, sharp anger you've experienced in the past few days - but maybe it's simply stress from the recent attacks on the city. Perhaps some rest will help, or a nice day at Folkvang to decompress and gather yourself.
Whatever you try, though, the odd feeling of being off stubbornly lingers on. Anger is joined by discomfort, the shadows in the corners of the room just a little bit darker than usual and did you see something dart down that alley way? The hallucinations creep into every day activities, paranoia and snappishness leading to insomnia and sleep deprivation. Try as you may to ignore it, the symptoms only seem to escalate over time. Maybe it's stress. Maybe it's something else entirely.
But it's stubbornly lingering on. Perhaps some rest will help ... ]
[ OOC NOTES: This is the mingle log for Week 2 of the Bad Moon Rising event! Characters will start experiencing auditory and visual hallucinations alongside vivid violent thoughts at strange, innocuous moments. Some characters may start sleep walking and heading towards the Gate of Fog; none will make it, however, so lock your doors and keep an eye on your friends. Please put [OPEN/CLOSED] along with the time/location in your comment titles. Let us know if you have any questions or concerns! ]

Don't really think there's much of a choice. If these assholes brought you here you'll just have to get used to the place. They don't send as many people back as they take.

Great, I guess it's time to make myself comfortable then [She looks around, then back to Dean] I owe you for this. Not the drink, though I guess I owe you for that too The talking. I feel like everyone's out to bite each other's head off. You're at least willing to hold a conversation while you size me up.

[He can't brief her with what's going on right now. Not when he barely knows enough about it to handle it himself. He picks up his own drink off the surface of the counter and takes a swig.]
I don't blame some of the other travelers for playin' the hands they're dealt.
no subject
I'm not blaming exactly, just trying to determine what is going on.

[Dean rolls his shoulders back and tops her glass off with the rest of the coke that's in the can. Then he picks his drink back up.]
On one hand, you're lucky. You won't be surprised the next time it's happening. On the other. I can see how it'd be harsh to arrive in this kinda mess.

As nice as it is to y'know, not be surprised by random stuff going on. I think I would take the warm fuzzy welcome over the "I'm going to shke you" one. Call me crazy but I'm just not that into it.

[He can see how settling in with a warm fuzzy feeling might help in the long run. Instead of being welcomed into shit and having it be followed up with more shit.]
Give it some time. You'll get used to it.

[Dean was still trying to get the hang of things and he'd been here for months now. The lack of sleep lately was driving him nuts more than anything else. Enough that he didn't have the fight in him that he usually did.]
Don't rush anything. Believe me, it's better to weigh out your options.
no subject
Yeah, I'm planning on just taking my time. I mean, it's not as if I'm lacking in it or anything. {She grins a little.

[Dean rolls his eyes and brings his drink up to his lips and throws the rest of it back. It's been a harsh few days and drinking is helping him take a load off. The company doesn't hurt either.]
Since the gods don't seem too sweet on the idea of lettin' us go.
no subject
Yeah, I'm getting that. [She sighs, looking at her drink] I mean, I guess it's a compliment to get picked but really? This whole 'steal me from my universe and shove me in your city' thing is totally not what I needed
no subject
[He knows he should probably be a little more sensitive to her needs but after the past few days he's just too exhausted to care.]
