JULY INTRO MINGLE

Who: Newbies and anyone who wishes to greet them!
What: Getting used to the city
When: Days 474 and forward.
Where: Anywhere in town!
Rating: PG-13 tops! If it gets worse, move to a private log please.

[ Please include your location and the IC day (ex. Day 43 - this can be found in the schedule) in your top-level comment or your subject line when starting a thread! It can be any welcome hall, major attraction, or just out an about in any district. "Ice, she said..." He shakes his head. "It's ridiculous though, isn't it?"

He holds up an open palm, and lines of frost begin spreading over it, eventually gathering on his fingertips.

"What am I supposed to do with this? Do people actually use these powers?"

Oh, good. The fact that he has ice instead of fire causes her to relax just a smidge. She may have a small issue with fire that she doesn't really want to talk about. She nods before giving a bit of a shrug. "I have a friend in Odin who can turn himself into the Human Torch, but he's been at it a while. It takes practice."

Her power is a bit more practical, but she's still trying to get a handle on it so that she can use it without her momentum getting the better of her.

She usually doesn't go spreading it around, but the odds that this guy will run into someone like Peter or a member of the alpha pack on arrival and go "Oh by the way, Cora Hale has this power" are slim to none. It's a bit of a harmless risk, and he did share with her.

"Speed. I'm in Thor."

"...oh," he nods, as if he can't think of anything else to say to that, meanwhile quietly filing the information away. He rubs his palms together (still nervous), casts another look toward the Welcome Hall.

"Well -- if you'll excuse me. I think I need to lie down for a while..." that last bit trails off, and he manages a parting sort of nod before he starts to step away, toward the front door.

Cora nods a bit in acknowledgement, watching him carefully before whistling for the wolf and turning to head on her way. A bit weird, but whatever. She'll probably run into him again later.
