Potions... professor?

[Her eyebrow raised. No, it couldn't be that easy. Strike that. She'd met Harry, Ron, Hermione and worked with Snape off and on for months, not to mention that she'd known Draco for the better part of a year. She looked at the sort of dreamy eyed girl with a cocked head, her eyes briefly curious.]

You wouldn't happen to be speaking of a Professor Snape, would you? I ask because I've met a few of his students in my time here.

A few... [She paused herself, thinking back.] Hermione and Draco are the two I've known best, but I've met a Harry Potter, Ron... I forget his last name, and a man by the name of Dumbledore. There were two others as well, but not from the school. Barty Crouch is still in town, and Voldemort used to be here.

... your world's had a regular presence in this place, honestly. [She coughed uncomfortably.] And your fights.

He was a brat when he was here. We only met once or twice, and he went by the name Tom. [She shook her head, making a face.] He tried to hurt a friend of mine, but a lot of people from your world turned on him. It all got pretty ugly for a while.

Barty mostly sticks to causing Snape trouble. [She sighed, leaning against the wall.] There aren't many from your world here anymore, though. Hermione's still here, and Snape and Barty... maybe Albus is. We don't talk much.

[Samantha didn't know Albus well enough to actually warn Luna that he was from a much younger time than the young woman had ever known. She simply shrugged at the statement.]

I think he just gets busy? Hermione, I'm sure you'll see her soon. In the meantime, you're always welcome to stop by my shop. I sell potions and medicines down in Loki district.

Pinch of Sage. It's in Loki, just in sight of the hospital in the next district. I'd say you can't miss it, but it's lodged in a little hole in the wall, so people tend to sort of stumble on it by accident. [Which was part of the point.

She let her tail lash behind her quietly once or twice, cocking her head.]

So... I'm guessing you're a witch like Hermione too?

You're still a witch, just like I'm still an illusionist. It's just like you said, though, that our magic doesn't work here. There is magic, in the runes, the potions and what the gods give you, but it's not the same.

[She definitely noticed where the attention was going, but tried not to say anything. If she was curious, it was going to come up eventually.]

[She looked down at it and grunted softly.]

Constantly. It doesn't get caught in doors often, but it's got a mind of its own the way it moves, I swear. I wouldn't want it gone, but it's annoying at times.

[She blinked and looked at the tail before cocking her head at Luna a little curiously.]

Uhhh, I've always had the tail and the horns, Luna. I'm what we call a cambion, a half demon. The tail just comes with the territory.

[She coughed a little uncomfortably. It was hard to remember if her world had succubi or not. Oh well, there was no point beating around the bush too much.]

You might have heard of a succubus, or you might not. It's a creature that feeds on sex. [Her cheeks heated a little.] I'm half that.

[A close approximation, in all honesty, though sirens tended to like the meat more than life force, but ... semantics.]

Human. My mother was a basically normal witch, and my father was an incubus. I ... can explain more if you need me to. It just gets into uncomfortable topics for some people.

You misunderstand. It's only a little uncomfortable for me. I'm used to explaining by now. No, it's more... I usually assume it would make you uncomfortable.

[She got up from off of the wall and looked around, shrugging. There was a hand motion and she started to walk, beckoning Luna to follow.]

Let's get something to drink then, while we talk. But, honestly, what are you curious about? There's a lot of possibilities.

[Some of them having very different permutations, as the faint color in the womans cheeks might have hinted. She was damned sure that Luna wasn't behaving in an 'interested' fashion, but she was also equally sure that this curiosity was the sort of thing that was easily abused, and she hated being a little tempted to abuse it.]
