[closed] 'sassin bondin' times
Who: Asgard Brotherhood
What: rooftop dinnertimes
When: afternoon/evening 505 (after all 'sassins have voted on Satan)
Where: Needle roof!
Rating: PG-13
[ After speaking to the gods, Desmond headed back to the Needle for a beer, which he took up to the rooftop. It's a mild day in Asgard, overcast but not raining. He's leaning against the chimney when Connor finds him -- the novice was swinging by to speak to the masters, not wanting to have this conversation over the bracelets -- but Desmond offers him a beer and he puts more serious matters on hold to sit beside his comrade.
Maybe the others had the same idea to swing by the bureau, or just heard them from the shop downstairs, or maybe a couple beers in one of these boys sent you a message to come by. Point is, eventually there's a whole bunch of 'sassins up on the roof of Needle in a Haystack, and it's dinnertime. Let's family bbq. ]
(( you can thread finding them/being invited or hanging out at dinner or both, it's a free for all! ))

[Maybe it's the beer, maybe it's knowing that they're amongst friends, but she leans in and presses a kiss to the corner of his mouth.]
I still want to hear what she tried to teach you.

Wordplay, mostly. Clever enough in its way, but not the first method I'd turn to.
[He has better ways of using his mouth.]

[She squeezes his fingers again.]
To think that was almost three years ago now.
no subject
Less than that for me, remember? I expect my memories are much fresher.

[Where once there might have been bitterness hidden beneath such a remark, now it is simply an observation.]
I still remember it as though it was yesterday, and I will when I am an old matron, whether it be three years in passing or ten times that.
no subject
If you do not, I promise to remind you.

[She brushes her fingers over his.]
So you will not demonstrate this wordplay? Is it too risque for polite company?
no subject
Not quite. More like too childish. I believe she learned most of it rom a book of amusements.

[She appears thoughtful for a moment.]
Though no stranger than attempting to charm a woman by citing philosophers, I expect.
no subject
It worked.

[She pats his knee jovially.]
I love you with everything I am but I do confess it was not your knowledge of Greek philosophers that won you my heart, habeebi.
no subject
[As if she would have even considered such a thing then. Though they both know he would have welcomed it if she had.]
What did the trick then, my love?
no subject
[She lifts his hand and presses her lips to his palm.]
I cannot say what it was. Perhaps it was everything and nothing in particular, you crept up on me before I even knew it was happening.
no subject
[Hey, he's still glad he didn't start a huge fight creeping into Acre Castle before that second meeting. Everything would have been different.]
I hope to continue making more for many years to come.

[He has done remarkably well so far managing such a feat. Not bad for an infidel whose head she had sworn she would take.]
