[closed] 'sassin bondin' times
Who: Asgard Brotherhood
What: rooftop dinnertimes
When: afternoon/evening 505 (after all 'sassins have voted on Satan)
Where: Needle roof!
Rating: PG-13
[ After speaking to the gods, Desmond headed back to the Needle for a beer, which he took up to the rooftop. It's a mild day in Asgard, overcast but not raining. He's leaning against the chimney when Connor finds him -- the novice was swinging by to speak to the masters, not wanting to have this conversation over the bracelets -- but Desmond offers him a beer and he puts more serious matters on hold to sit beside his comrade.
Maybe the others had the same idea to swing by the bureau, or just heard them from the shop downstairs, or maybe a couple beers in one of these boys sent you a message to come by. Point is, eventually there's a whole bunch of 'sassins up on the roof of Needle in a Haystack, and it's dinnertime. Let's family bbq. ]
(( you can thread finding them/being invited or hanging out at dinner or both, it's a free for all! ))

It's weird, not just to feel like he has a family here, but that it would feel that way when really it's more like he's been let into someone else's. He doesn't even know all of them, so this is a good opportunity. Still, it's inevitable he winds up at Altair's side, a plate of what's just come off the grill in one hand and two drinks in the other; one for him and one to replace Altair's near-empty bottle. ]

Thank you. Planning ahead, I see.

[ Hands still full, a tendril of shadow snakes out from under his arm and pops the bottlecap off. He seems to use his power without focusing on it at all, like it's as much an extension of him as his actual limbs. (If only he was that comfortable with his hidden blade.) ]
That and you don't look like you've relaxed that much.

Is that such a surprise, given what we've learned?

[ He takes a drink and tucks the bottle in the crook of his plate-holding arm. ]
Not at all, but we can talk about it tomorrow when they give us the verdict.

There may not be much to say.

Isn't less to say better?
Anyway, there's a chance people have wised up. A slim chance but it's there.

[He resists a sigh, then nods.]
You may be right. We shall see.
I would suggest that we take care of the matter ourselves, but I don't doubt that the cost would be too high.

Just cross your fingers and have a burger
no subject
These are a common food in the future?

[ As Connor speaks, his expression shifts from disbelief (seriously how have you avoided burgers) to sadness (they're Pyro's favorite, and what Angel requested Sophie to make the night he met her) to fondness (remembering little Darim struggling with a spoon). He shakes himself out of it and finds his smile again. ]
And Desmond can cook. Like actually cook, it's impressive.

Is it that surprising to you? It is a poor man who cannot feed himself.

[Though, it would be a shame to waste some of these burgers.]

[But he chuckles and raises one shoulder in a shrug.]
Still, point.

[The words describe the concept clearly, but Altaïr can think of several things that would serve as fire extuinguishers, and Connor obviously means something specific.]
