[ On Day 290 (July 4), all of the natives will close down their shops and stores and instead set up booths and stalls all over the city streets. Bright lights and decorations will be put up across every district in the respective colours of their patron gods along with an underlying theme of Freyr’s dark purple and Freya’s rouge. The city will spring to life in celebration of both the twins’ return and the Travellers’ triumph in reviving them. The festival will last three days, with music, games, dancing and an impressive fireworks display every night, visible all throughout the city.

In the midst of the first night of celebrations (July 5), a small earthquake rumbles across the land. It is nothing terribly powerful or disruptive, only strong enough to shift glassware a bit or rustle the leaves. The natives will seem surprised but unalarmed and continue the festivities as normal.

During the night’s fireworks, people will begin to pop! into the world in arbitrary places. Guards and maids will immediately rush around to give these new arrivals temporary bracelets with grey stones to protect them from the Grey Sickness; be sure to take this gift, as there is no telling what will happen to you if you get lost to the Grey when your soul isn’t tied to this world.

Still, the festivities continue even in the presence of their unexpected guests. The natives will treat them with a vague sense of curiosity and confusion, but are otherwise as amenable and deferential as they would be with the Travelers. Hang out, have fun, and please, mind the carpet. ]

[ Away from the rest of the festivities, there are still new arrivals popping into unexpected places without warning on Day 290 (July 5). Guards and maids will be wandering around with baskets of the temporary bracelets, looking to give one to every visitor along with any information they might need to thrive in the days until their gods can sort out this magical mishap.

Temporary housing will be set up in the Folkvang Comfort House of the Freya District and the Arena in the Thor District. They’ll be given bedding, food, clothes and anything else they might need without charge, though they are more than welcome to find shelter with familiar faces or elsewhere.

Feel free to wander the streets at will, but try not to poke noses where they aren’t welcome, lest they get the rolled up newspaper. ]

[ Stiles had committed one of the most shameful offences as a best friend.

He'd been given pie and hadn't mentioned or shared it with Scott. Scott had to find out from someone else. Oh the audacity of it all. Scott didn't think he could ever forgive Stiles for that...

Until Stiles invited him over for pie, which meant Stiles was totally forgiven. He also had a present for Stiles since he seemed a little down in the dumps lately.

They had a secret knock they'd come up with years ago so Scott performed it against the door. ]

|| Day 287 ||

Erica had found her way to the library. She'd brought books to Johannes earlier and maybe she was still thinking about what he'd told her, but she'd been finding her way around the stacks more and more recently. She had her visit with Merlin coming up and maybe that also drove her to the library. Somehow her choice to let Merlin look at her and try to magically heal her epilepsy had gotten around to the pack and now they all wanted to watch. The library was quiet and it let her think. She finds books on epilepsy, putting them into a pile. She digs through the aisle and tries to find something on werewolves that isn't in the fiction section.

Once she has a large stack of books, she moves to the chairs and curls up with a book to try and read what she can about her own disease. Her parents always handled it and usually she was given the pamphlet version of what was wrong with her. The internet would give her mixed answers, but these books at least seemed to have research she could see.

After a bit, she moved from the medical books and dove into the mystical and the legends of certain cultures. These were definitely more interesting than averages and percentages of people with symptoms.


|| Day 288 ||

Things with Merlin went off... with little incident. She didn't really want to focus on that. It still felt a bit weird to her and she didn't know if it was working. She would meet with Dr. Watson later and get a second scan. Erica wanted to do that, not just for her own knowledge, but because she knew that everyone that was concerned -- everyone that was protective of her would want to know too.

Baldr had a park. She'd been there a few times, but today she was planning on spending most of her time in the petting zoo. She liked the smaller animals, but she also didn't feel bad when she practiced her power on them. It was easier to switch to a different animal if she wasn't as good with the one. It also wasn't someone that was just letting her do it, it was her trying to really use her power.
