[Hey everyone, it's time for that party the gods mentioned! As afternoon settles in on Day 73, there will suddenly be an abundance of flowers blooming all at once! In places where the city is still all or mostly grey, they're the same, but in frequently trafficked places (Welcome Halls, Paid Housing neighborhoods, the areas around popular shops etc), things should be getting pretty colourful, and there the flowers are in every shade of the rainbow! All coloured flowers will be letting off a strong, pleasant scent (honeysuckle, jasmine, lilac, whatever you can think of), and some of the more cone-shaped flowers are filled with a faintly glowing nectar that, if harvested, will prove to be a strong healing salve when applied topically and an all-purpose antidote to poisons when ingested.

In the the park, things are set up for a big party! There are numerous spots with seating in both chair and floor cushion form, as well as self-renewing tables of food and drink (including things from Travellers homes and some very fine fruit wines). Music seems to come from nowhere, and is of the ambient whimsical instrumental sort, some laid back and some a little perkier, to promote dancing. The sky tonight will start out clear and full of stars, very intense and eye-catching. After dark, some of the flowers will glow, providing soft coloured light in place of the usual street lamps.

Around midnight, the whole city will be treated to some further special effects. Lights will come up from the ground like multi-coloured fireflies, floating around the city aimlessly for awhile. Trying to touch them will result in one's hand going right through, feeling only a faint warmth. They'll gather loosely around people and other sources of warmth and movement, hovering about and forming patterns here and there. After roughly an hour they'll lift up into treetops and along the eaves of buildings, and stay there glittering til morning.

Lastly, a couple of hours before dawn some light cloud cover will come in, bringing with it a gentle cool sprinkling of rain. In the morning there will be enough light for rainbows, for anyone who stays up to see the impressive sunrise!

The music will stop at sunrise, and all of the other effects (including flowers) will fade away by noon of Day 74 (April 28)! In the meantime, have fun and enjoy!]

[If you work in the hospital, it is possible that you take your meals in the staff canteen. If you take your meals in the staff canteen, you might notice that there is a rather thick medical textbook apparently joining you for lunch today.

If it occurs to you to look behind the book, you'll find the the medical laboratory's newest and smallest recruit -- this kid. In contrast to taking his first job in the city, Conan's trying to play this down. He's succeeding. His first two days working at the hospital, he's managed to get by without attracting undue attention. Will this trend continue?

At 8pm, all characters will suddenly find themselves wearing formal wear to suit their tastes, and lights and music will begin in the ballroom. Characters are welcome to come and go from the ball as they'd like, except for the Ball Court members, who will be teleported to the ballroom and may not change clothes or leave until 9pm!

The ballroom has dim but colourful lighting and plays a variety of types of music from classical to dubstep. There is a refreshments table including punch, various cookies, and small sandwiches, and a second table that, again, provides any kind of food or drink (even alcohol) the character could wish for, including things from their home worlds. Also, as of 8pm everyone's valentine receiving boxes will be unlocked! Open them up to see the valentines you received and who they're from! :)

So there you were, doing whatever you normally do in a boring day like this: by chance was it reading a book? Talking to a friend? Exploring the shops in the district? It feels like nothing can go wrong in the meantime and you were off continuing your mundane life.

But that doesn’t matter, anyway – by the time you blinked, it looks like you were transported in the middle of the stage with bright lights blinding your field of vision. The only thing that you’re able to make out is the chatter of a very loud audience and someone announcing your name. And if you happen to look down, you would see a name tag attached to whatever you were wearing with the following:

All right folks, here’s the date auction! Please note that the announcer for this event is Rikku and Tidus, who will announce the people being auctioned off and the starting price - these will be the under PARTICIPANTS with the character's names in the subject, along with the fill out form in the body in the sign ups. Remember, characters bidding are paying with chocolates they receive from Valentines day and that the auction ends after Feb 14 2:00 PM CST OOcly. Happy bidding everyone!

It's that time! The riddles are up and your characters can get to ICly figuring them out and bringing in the items. Regardless of whether your character "won" a question or not, or whether you even submitted an answer, or even if you submitted a wrong one -- you can have your characters figure out or not figure out whatever you want in the log. The wins only count for who figures it out first.

Found items should be brought to the altar in the yard of each Welcome Hall. When one of the "winners" (a.k.a. the first person from each house to guess right) brings an item to an altar, a light in the colour of their house will pop up. It's just a hovering ball of light and any touches will pass through it. After that, there's no effect in bringing the same item to the same altar, but people are welcome to do so as much as they wish. Characters are welcome to keep any of the items they find, or leave them at the altar, in which case they'll disappear.

And as for the winners, here's the list of who "won" each question, sorted by house! This means that the characters listed under "ODIN" are members of Odin house. The houses listed with the names are the questions they were awarded. Therefore, Hanbei Takenaka is in Odin house and "won" Baldr's question. We gave some wins for "close enough" answers when no one else in the house got that question right. :) People are listed in chronological order within their house.

NOW! As you can see, not one house "won" every single question. However, since Heimdall House was the closest, they'll be awarded the big prize! Starting on Feb 4, the Welcome Hall will have a big spiral slide inside, next to the elevator shaft! There are openings on every floor, so characters can hop in and slide right down to wherever they want to go! They'll also find a new room on the main floor, containing, wait for it... a giant ball pit with climbable netting on the walls and ceiling! Still, since no one really won and everyone put in a big effort, every single house will have the slides installed. ;) Have fun with those!

In addition everyone who "won" a question will recieve a cute gift certificate for a free child's entree at a chain pizza restaurant that has a location somewhere in each district. Edit for clarification: This certificate will appear on the character's person when they cause the light to come on, so they'll get it immediately! Clearly, this is a very grown-up event!

Now that the "winners" and answers have been announced, let's have fun! Please wait for the mods to get a thread up for each district, then reply and mingle and do whatever you'd like.
