Who: Gil Marverde and Nevy Nervine
What: Sickness! (belated)
When: Days 296-298
Where: Gil's room in Sigyn House
Rating: PG
[Gil wasn't an idiot; he knew that as a doctor he wouldn't be immune to disease or injury, any more than anyone else. More than anyone, he knew that. He'd died, after all. But knowing a thing, and imagining that it might actually happen, somewhere out of the blue, were two very different things. And when he'd started to get sick, he'd just sort of shrugged off the symptoms as nothing more than a few allergies, or a little cold, and carried on with it.
But even he had to admit by the end of the second day that this wasn't something he could ignore. Something he couldn't just walk off, when he couldn't even remember where he was or what he was doing half the time, and couldn't seem to shake the nausea, or the fever, no matter how he tried to eat and keep from being dehydrated. So he crawled into bed, and huddled up there to try and and wait it out. Just for awhile. Just long enough that he didn't feel so unspeakably awful.
It might be the one and only time since they arrived that Gil completely forgot about his best friend.]
